Noel wandered through the caves, until he came to a wall at the end of a narrow passage. Andi and Suserak followed behind.
"A dead end," Andi commented. "Looks like he's lost."
Noel continued forward and seemed to walk through the wall.
"What?" Andi exclaimed. "Did he just walk through solid rock?" She ran up to the wall and began feeling it. "How did he?" She wondered out loud as she ran her hand across the rock. Then her hand passed through. "There must be some kind of illusion here making it look like the passage ends," she commented. She then cautiously stuck her head through. "The passage looks like it goes a lot further," she said. "Let's go."
Asina went back to her house. She went in and tried to go back to bed, but couldn't. She got up and took her pillow and blanket and went back outside.
Asina walked up to Arkia's front door and knocked. A few seconds later the door opened, Arkia standing there rubbing her eye.
"Yes..." Arkia said sleepily. "Oh Asina, is there anything wrong?"
"I'm sorry to come so late but I was wondering... Could I stay here tonight?" Asina said. "Someone came into town then went deeper into the cave. Andi's following him... but... I don't think I can stay in my house by myself tonight with some stranger wandering around the town."
"Sure you can stay," Arkia said. "Come in." Asina walked inside and Arkia closed the door behind her.
Andi and Suserak walked down the hidden passage behind the illusionary wall. It was straight and sloped downward, heading deeper into the earth. The passage was just wide enough for one person so they continued in single file. Noel was ahead of them, and continued forward without concern to the two following him.
"Did you have any idea this passage was here?" she asked Suserak.
