Looking over the fence near the Cemetery of Fallen Heroes, Sharki saw Gollel and Alre take position. It was early morning, before the sun rose. Sharki turned, looking toward the location where she and Meyras would soon be headed. She then climbed down, beside Meyras, then started walking off. She looked back to him. "Let's go." she said, then turned forward and resumed walking.

"Coming," Meyras said as he hurried after Sharki. "So, have you ever been to Auvian's old office?" he asked.

"No." Sharki replied.

"Me neither," Meyras said. "I hope we don't get lost... I think I memorized the floor plan Auvian gave us, but it looks different when you're actually there. Do you think there'll be a lot of guards?"

"Don't worry about the guards." Sharki answered.

"You're going to kill them I take it," Meyras replied. "I hope it won't come to that... Sure they support the ones usurping power in Nocturnia, but that's because they've been lied to. They're still fellow Nocturnians. I'm sure if we could reason with them they'd see the light and support our cause."

Sharki listened to Meyras's words, but did not respond to them. His words made her think about how inhuman she would seem to people like him. Would she kill anyone? Maybe... but that's her life. Though as ashamed of it as she feels right now, she couldn't bring herself to confront this innocent boy about it.

"I've been wondering..." Meyras said. "Why don't you and Alre get along?"

"Tch... he's just a selfish immature brat who needs a reality check." Sharki said. "Life isn't a game like he tries to treat it."

"Yeah life isn't a game," Meyras agreed. "You're right, he doesn't take things seriously. Even though we're fighting to free Nocturnia from those who unjustly seized power." He paused and thought for a moment. "How do you feel about Gollel?"
