Kaori walked outside, looking around. Taziko scurried up to her, dragging a big leather bag. "Good thing I managed to get Tysius to help... we picked out some cute new outfits for you." Taziko said, grinning. "Please try to stay out of trouble! And don't talk to any boys, I won't be there to help you!"
Kaori smiled. "You don't really have to act like my mother any more."
Taziko huffed. "Don't act like you've grown up any. Your mind still needs to catch up to that body of yours now..."
"Kaori put her hand on Taziko's head as she scowled. "I guess it's the other way around for you, huh?" Kaori teased.
Taziko looked toward Arkia's house with a more serious look on her face. "...you didn't tell her yet, did you?"
"She still wasn't home when I left." Kaori responded. "I probably shouldn't anyway. She wants to look over this ring before I leave with it... or at least wait till my mother gets back."
Taziko sighed. "I still think this is too random. I don't see a reason why you'd leave us after returning after all this time."
"I understand. But... this place don't feel like home any more."
"Things change, Kaori. You can't expect everything to stay the same forever..."
"I realize that. but I've made up my mind. Sorry."
"At least let me walk you to the front gate and see you on your way."
Kaori nodded. "Of course."
Kaori picked up the leather bag and flung it over her shoulder. The two girls then headed for the front gate.

Near the front gate Arkia was talking to another girl. "Thanks again for delivering that letter. I owe you one. No one else could have done it so quickly." Arkia said.
"You don't have to thank me," the other girl said, smiling. "Delivering those kinds of letters is why I took this job."

Kaori walked up, waiting for Arkia to finish her conversation.

"Ah Kaori," Arkia said, a bit suprised to see her. "Oh let me introduce you, this is Juria. She delivered your letter to your mother."
Juria looked at Kaori with a warm smile. "Hello," she said.

Kaori looked away. "Actually... I-"
"Was about to go with me!" Taziko interrupted. "I wanted to show her around Keshmar Lake."

"Ah good idea," Arkia replied. "It's really quite beautiful. The crystal clear water reflects the light from the town onto the far wall showing all the rock formations. Just be careful, the path near it can be slippery"
"My my, it's been a long time since I've seen it," Juria said. "Would you mind if I went alone?"

Juria smiled warmly at the two. "Well then, shall we go?" she asked. "Oh, will you be coming as well Arc?"
"No, sorry I have some work to do in town," Arkia replied. "And I've asked you not to call me that..."
Juria giggled. "It's a bit of a habit," she said.
