"Oh, you've never been to a formal event?" Melimei asked. "Well, I'm kind of glad you'll be going to your first one with me. That way you're sure to remember it." She then looked away and blushed.

"I can't wait." Trinta said, then paused for a moment before sitting back down on his bed. "...anyway, how have you been?"
Meanwhile, at a neighboring house down the road, a lone, teenaged boy with short, rose-colored hair sat in his wheelchair by the window of the side of his house. His baggy, blue wool pants and white pajama top with blue patterns covered his slender build.
He looked out of the window, overlooking a large, agricultural field. He crossed his arms, resting them on the sill as he looked out. Inside, on the right side of him was a small table with a half-drank cup of tea.
The boy heard a knock at the door. He arose from the window sill and wheeled himself back a bit, looking toward the door. "Come in!" he said.

"Everything's fine," Melimei replied. "I had lunch with Kaili, Fedira, and Drandi earlier. We met Yukari and her maid there, that's when I got the invitation. Kaili and I are going shopping later. Though that girl can be tiresome alone. I wish Fedira and Drandi were coming too."
Juria opened the door and entered the house. "I'm home, Sai," she said, smiling.

"Go ahead and have a seat." Trinta offered, nodding to the reclining chair near the corner of the room, beside a table with a small pile of books on it.
"Juria!" Sairek exclaimed as he turned his chair around to face her. "Welcome back."

Melimei walked over to the chair, put her hand on the back rest, and examined the books. "You like to read?" she asked.
Mika knelled down in the hallway outside Trinta's room. She carefully peaked in, trying not to be noticed.
Juria walked over and bent over to give her brother a hug. "I'm sorry I've been away for so long with work," she said. "Have you been feeling ok while I was gone?"

Trinta nodded. "Yeah, but just history and uh... mystery novels..."
"For the most part." Sairek said. "How are you? How's the mail delivery job going?"

"I see," Melimei said, as she sat down in the chair. "What's your favorite book?"
"It's going well," Juria replied. "It's a shame it takes me away for so long, but the warm feelings in people's hearts when they receive an unexpected letter from a distant loved one, and just for that moment can reconnect with the person they've been separated from. It's such a wonderful thing, don't you think?"

"Easy, that would be 'The Night of Whispers' by Shei Pai Servei." Trinta said. "Lost my copy of that a few weeks ago, though..."
Sairek nodded, smiling. "I knew this would be the perfect career choice for you."

"I see," Melimei replied. She looked off to the side a bit and raised her index finger to her mouth as if thinking."
Mika leaned further to get a better look.
"Yes," Juria said, closing her eyes, cocking her head slightly to the side and smiling for a moment. "Carrying people's feelings and making sure they're received. That's truly the best job I could have." She closed her eyes, looked down slightly, raised her right hand to her heart, and smiled again, though this time a slightly distant simile. "I just hope I can deliver my own feelings as well."

"Yeah..." Trinta said, then noticed Mika from his peripheral. "...Mika?"
A moment of silence passed before Sairek spoke up, "She comes by occasionally." he said, then took a sip of his tea. "She asks about you all the time. Though she seems too shy for normal conversation."
