Business Before Pleasure Saturday May 16th, 4646 at 2:38 PM in Norisam City Selic yawned as the group walked into town. The Norisam palace was at a distance. “Didn't get much sleep last night?” Brella asked. “Guess not.” Selic responded. “Wow, it's a lot warmer near town...” “You've been living in the mountains too long.” Julian commented. Selic sighed before quietness swept the group again. After a few moments, Selic once again spoke up, “So Jul, tell us more about that other world.” “Well let's see...” Julian started. “The cultures of that world are so vastly different from our own, I'm not sure where to start.” “How about the culture closer to us?” Selic suggested. “Like, do they have churches?” “Oh they do.” Julian responded. “Their churches are all part of faith based religions though.” “Faith-based? How so?” Selic asked. “The reasons vary from religion to religion. Though there are superficial things they have that match ours.” “Like...?” “Well one religion uses crosses as an important holy symbol, but their cross' origin is a lot more morbid.” “Morbid, eh?” Brella floated past the three on her hoverboard, pointing down the mountain. “We're here!” she exclaimed. “Ah, great.” Selic said. “My legs are killing me.” “Told ya you need to exercise more.” Julian said.

"Much better," Marendy said. "I can't believe how cold those mountains were. I thought I was prepared, but I guess not."

"Looks like this trail leads right down to the street." Selic said, looking ahead.
"Looks kinda like the trail dissolves out before we get there though." Julian noted, noticing how rough the road gets up ahead. The trail was getting uneven and coarse. However, there was enough of a ledge for the group to hold their ground. "Be careful." Julian added.
"Easier done than said!" Brella exclaimed, recklessly charging on ahead on her hoverboard.
"Wait!" Julian exclaimed.
Brella ignored, as she barreled down the path. She hopped off her hoverboard before jumping over a rocky outcropping of the side of the ledge. Her hoverboard hit it however, causing it to spin out over the ledge, plummeting to the bottom, while Brella landed on the other side of the rocky outcropping, loosing her footing and landing face-first in the snow.
Selic and Julian started running toward Brella.

Marendy ran to Brella too. "Are you ok?!" she called out.

"Blech!" Brella coughed, popping her head out of the snow. "I'm loosing my mojo!"
"Why on Aster did you do that?" Selic said. "You could've been really hurt!"
Julian went over to try to help Brella up, though she stood up before Julian got to her. "I'm fine!" Brella said. "I do this all the time."
"Don't seem like it." Selic noted.
Brella looked around, seeming like she was starting to panic. "Where is it?!?"
"...where's what?" Julian asked.
"My hoverboard!" Brella exclaimed, frantically looking around.

"It must have fallen over the edge," Marendy commented while turning her head toward the cliff. "It's probably not going to be easy to find."

Brella leaped to her feet, then started running toward the cliff, only to be stopped by Julian grabing a hold of her shirt collar. "Ahh let go!"
"Hold on a sec." Selic said, walked up to Brella. "Let's go the safe way down, then look for it at the bottom. Don't lose your head."
"I have my head!" Brella said, turning to Selic. "I just lost my board!"
"Looks like it might've landed near that house down there." Julian said.
"Let's head down there then." Selic suggested.
Brella sighed, following the rest of the group down the rugged path. "I totally could've tore this path up..." she pouted.

"You should just be glad you're not hurt," Marendy said. "Think about what would have happened if it was you who fell over the cliff?"

"If I'd have let a little thing like broken bones stop me, I'd have never came this far!" Brella said.
Julian unzipped her coat as the group walked. "Maybe it's the climate change." Julian said. "You might want to get used to warmer weather before you do that again."
As the group made it to the bottom, they walked across the road, headed to the house they saw on the mountain. Brella ran up to the house, knocking on the door as the rest of the group walked up.
"Hope someone's home." Selic said, tapping his foot against the stone sidewalk.

After a minute passed with no response, Marendy got a bit impatient. "I'm going to check around the side," she said, walking to the side of the house. She saw a girl looking through the window. "Cute," she thought to herself. "The girl noticed Marendy looking and quickly closed the curtains.
