"I'm sorry, Liilii," Megumi said. "If he doesn't want to come with us there isn't much we can do."
"Wiw doddy be otay?" Liilii asked with a tear in her eye.
Darius materialized his weapon and tossed it straight up in the air. However, this gave Genshi time to close the gap. Darius tried leaping to the side, but was too slow. A shield appeared between the two of them automatically,, but Genshi's punch broke through it and connected with him, sending him flying back. Concerned with another charge from Genshi, he didn't slow himself with barriers this time. He attempted to recover and land. Meanwhile, a small shadow appeared on the battlefield and started rapidly growing.

"He'll be fine." Kaori said, putting her hand on her shoulder. "Let's go."
Genshi appeared over Darius, putting her hands on his shoulders as she shoved him into the ground. She then landed on top of him, straddling him as she grabbed his shoulders. She then closed her eyes and started to shake him, bashing him into the ground repeatedly.

"Otay..." Liilii said sadly. She looked back at Fritt.
Darius shielded himself fromt he impacts as best he could. The shadow continued to spread out rapidly, covering the whole battlefield.

"WHY?!" Genshi yelled, shoving Darius down. She then tightened her grip on his shoulders. "Why did you leave..." She then opened her red eyes as she resumed bashing him into the ground. "Why? Why? WHY?!"

The shadow stopped expanding, but by now the sun was completely blocked out.
"Because... I thought... you... that I killed you!" Darius said between being slammed to the ground. Just then a massive rush of air began pushing out in all directions. An enormous mass of rock and dirt, the size of an island fell from above the two of them.

Genshi held Darius down, then drew her fist back...

The wind generated by the falling mass increased to near hurricane strength. Trees started to buckle from the force.
"What's going on?!" Megumi exclaimed as the group was buffeted by the strong winds.
"In the sky!" Minek called out, point.
"Ith a fwyie ithwand!" Liilii blurted out.
Vira turned around. "It's falling."
The mass picked up speed as it fell, now under the influence of nothing but gravity. As Genshi prepared to punch Darius, it slammed into the ground, throwing up a huge dust cloud in the process.

"What on Aster could survive that?" Tari said, holding Megumi.
"I don't understand... what's going on?" Kaori added.

The wind continued, only now full of dust and debris.
"I believe that was the battle's conclusion," Vira said, putting down Minek.
"Genshi..." Minek said softly. "Please be ok..."
The sky was black with dust from the impact, but it slowly began to clear.
"Search the battlefield!" Taina ordered the Nocturnian soldiers. "Find Darius no matter what!"

"Think it's safe to go back?" Kaori said, looking toward the aftermath.
"We're moving on." Robin said. "There's no one to recruit here, and we need to get a room at the inn."
"Be cautious men, in case the general lost." Hugo ordered.
the Nocturnian soldiers headed into the battlefield, looking around. Almost immediately, Shazben spotted the two in the distance, surrounded by a landscape that was still receding into the ground. He quickly noticed Genshi on top of Darius, appearing unconscious, and wearing none of the rocky armor or the brown, clay-like suit she had during the fight. "Sir, over here!" he called out to Hugo.
"I think we found something..." Hugo said to Taina upon hearing Shazben. He rushed over to where his subordinate was pointing.
