"Okay, two for admission... that'll be thirty szir." the lady said.

Karu took out the money and paid the woman.

As the lady brought out a small, black handheld device, Yuriis presented her right fist. The lady stamped Yuriis' hand with a blue museum logo on it.
Yuriis then showed Karu her stamped hand. "Don't worry, they can wash off. It's just to make sure they know we're paid visitors."

"Oh, sure," Karu said. He held his hand out for the stamp.

The lady stamped Karu's hand, smiling. "There you go, enjoy!"
Yuriis looked up at Karu, smiling.

"Thanks," Karu replied. He turned to Yuriis. "Let's head in." Karu lead Yuriis inside.
Upon entering, they were greeted with a hallway lined with various sorts of armor in display cases, most simple and utilitarian, others ornately decorated with elaborate reliefs, some with precious gems embedded. Some were less armor and more robes. There were also several Nocturnian military uniforms from various times. One though was placed separately from the rest, a fairly simple set of armor seemingly made for a small woman or perhaps a young teenager. The only decoration on it was the Anstrum family crest on the shoulder guards.
"What's that?" Karu asked.

"Ah, that's the armor that Elina Anstrum made herself before she liberated the prisoners of the colony that eventually became this kingdom." Yuriis said, trying not to miss any detail. "I learned a lot about her growing up. Actually, I think this is the 100th anniversary of when she founded Nocturnia."

"Made it herself, huh?" Karu replied. "That's pretty impressive. Wonder how she managed to go on to liberate everyone here at the time. That couldn't have been easy."

"Not everyone here has ancestors that were from the prison colony." Yuriis explained. "Most were, but the rest were immigrants."

"That wasn't what I meant," Karu replied. "I was talking about the people in the colony. Freeing them must have been tough. It must have had a lot of guards in defensible positions."
