"That's too bad," Meyras replied.

"W-wasn't you gonna cut my hair first?" Zedria mentioned, slipping her top off.
Sharki sighed, then pulled a dagger out of her belt. She stood up, then reached over and grabbed Zedria's hair, pulling her head back. She then put the knife up to the human's throat, then held it there for a moment. "...you don't even flinch." she said, then put the knife to Zedria's hair, cutting it off with several quick swipes."
"Why should I?" Zedria asked before she reached behind her, not feeling the long blond hair she had prior.
"My sister soon replaced myself at the temple for required necromancy rituals." Gollel explained.

"Necromancy is a family thing for you then?" Meyras asked.

"Move your hand." Sharki demanded. As Zedria complied, she grabbed Zedria's uneven hair, trying to even it out with the knife. Zedria tried looking back to watch. "Stay still." Sharki added.
"It's not." Gollel said, grabbed an apple in the basket that was untouched by Zedria. "It was Shurang's thing. But I looked up to her a lot, so I asked her to mentor me."

"So you wanted to be just like your big sis, huh?" Meyras said jokingly.

Sharki kept hacking away for a minute or so before finishing. "There."
"...are you done?" Zedria asked as Sharki stood back up to walk back to the faucet.
"Yes."
"Just like her?" Gollel asked rhetorically. "Not really. Necromancy is normally a very unhealthy practice. It drains the user's health, leaving them emaciated and gaunt. My sister was well along in her practice necromancy when I decided to study it, so I chose to find a way to do it without withering away like that." He then put his left hand up to his face, brushing it down his cheek. "After I found a way, I had no problems getting deeper into it."

"Deeper, huh?" Meyras said.

Sharki turned the faucet on as Zedria watched. Sharki glanced back to her. "Alright, remove your clothes now."
Oh, okay..." Zedria said, then reached down to unbutton her blouse. "Are you gonna take a bath with me?"
Sharki glanced back again. "No." she growled.
Zedria looked away in embarassment. "S-sorry... I just... my best friend always used to take baths with me... I just... thought..."
"At first, Shurang was jealous." Gollel explained. "But after a while, she realized. But at that time, I had been working at the temple, performing necromancy services alongside her. She didn't want to say anything for fear that I'd be kicked out."

"Why would doing it without withering get you kicked out?" Meyras asked. "Or was that the going deeper part?"

Sharki briefly imagined back when she used to take baths with the woman who raised her as well. She immediately snapped out of the daydream upon realizing. "No, I understand."
"Oh..." Zedria said as she continued unbuttoning her blouse. It fell off of her shoulders before she stood up. She felt the air against her back, reminding her of her recent haircut.
"Oh it wasn't the fact that I could keep my health." Gollel explained. "It was how I was able to keep my health."
