"How are the lower floors?" Rurik asked. "Is there a clear way out?"
"I don't know, but I doubt it," the guard replied.
"I see," Rurik replied. "We'll need a scout." He turned to the inmate still hiding behind the door. "You there, what's your name?"
"Ah I'm Braus," the inmate said. "Braus Agmar."
"How'd you like to get some time off your sentence?" Rurik asked. "Just head downstairs and see if there's a safe path outside."
"No, I have to stay!" Braus insisted. "If I get out the other one will take over and make me kill!"
"How'd you know my name?" Narges asked.
"Secret," Talair said with a wink. "Why do you want to leave so soon though? You just got here."

From behind the smoldering ruin where the warden's office stood, another inmate ran up. “Gromyas! We found a way off the island! C'mon, we gotta go!” he yelled up.
The elemental mage put her arms back down, then looked down at him. “Are you sure?” she asked.
Nalery scowled, billowing up more bubbles from the blue circle.
The male inmate nodded. “Yeah, let's go!”
Gromyas looked back down at Nalery before flinging a lightning bolt at Nalery, striking her down. She then flew down to meet the other inmate. Both walked off.

"Fine, then I'll take time off if you don't do it," Rurik said.
"Okay," Braus replied. "But if the other one comes out, people will die." He cautiously made his way downstairs.
"Guard, you wait here for him to come back," Rurik said. He then turned to head back upstairs.
"I didn't get a choice in the matter," Narges said. "So now I do and I'm out of here."
"But tomorrow's pizza day!" Talair replied.

Nalery quickly sat up, panting rapidly. She felt as if that shock briefly stopped her heart. Still in a daze, she looked around for the inmates, unable to spot either.
Nash emerged from the corridor she entered a moment ago, followed by a handful of inmates. “Narges, was it?” she asked as she glanced up at Talair again. “Here, take them to the ship.”

A guard ran up to Nalery as she was recovering from the blast. "You gotta help!" she exclaimed. "My unit's been overrun!"
Braus continued down to the first floor. He looked around and saw several guards and inmates laying on the floor, some seemed to be alive, but wounded, but others were already dead. He kept close to the wall and peered around a corner.
"Okay, let's go!" Narges said, turning to head back to the ship. He looked up at the woman floating above him. "You wanna come?"
"No thanks," she said. "Bye bye." She then floated off.
"Let's kick some ass and go home!" Narges said, rallying the inmates.

Nalery looked over at him as she hoisted herself up on her feet while leaning on a bubble. “Yeah, where are they?” she asked.
Nash approached Narges and the other former prisoners of the Twilight Venom. “Good luck with that crew.” she said to the pirate.
“'Ey, you comin' or what?” a much larger prisoner, still with his shackles on asked her.
“Sorry, but this is where we part ways.” she told him. “You're free from Rurik, just as I promised you'd be.”
“Will you be okay?” the larger prisoner asked.
The shackles suddenly dissolved from Nash's wrists. “I told you, I can take care of myself.” she said, then nodded to Narges.

"Down on the first floor," the guard replied.
Seeing that the coast was clear, Braus rounded the corner, and cautiously advanced. However, he noticed another inmate in the hall facing away from him.
"Why don't you want to come?" Narges asked.

Nalery panted, still trying to get her bearings back as the bubbles and blue circle covering the floor despawned. “Lead the way.” she said.
“Braus, is that you?” the other inmate said. “Everyone's running and screaming around here. It's getting scary...”
“I still have business with Rurik.” Nash answered. “Assuming he'll survive whatever's happening here.”

"This way," the guard said. She walked over to the stairs with a slight limp. She paused as she saw a figure walking up the stairs. As it became clearer though, she saw the person approaching wasn't an inmate.
"There you are Nalery," Rurik said as he approached Nalery and the guard on the stairs. "What happened to the inmate?"
"Raika?" Braus replied. "Yeah it's me. Some crazy military guy asked me to look for a way out."
"Well, good luck," Narges replied. "Offer's still open till we take the ship and cast off." He reached out to offer his hand to Nash to shake.

“She uh...” Nalery said, still weakened from the mage's attack. “She struck me with an electrical attack, then escaped.”
“C-can I help?” Raika asked nervously.
“S'okay. If I change my mind, I can catch the ship.” she replied, then winked. “Take care of Lex for me.”
The large prisoner looked down at Narges, pointing to himself. “I'm lex.”
