"No, I was born in Tophiopolis," Kazuki said. "It's a long story how I got there, but I saw some Noctunrian soldiers seizing control of the roads and bridges leading to Oroeth and went there to warn the town. I got there a little too late though."
Yerth stretched and looked around. He saw Kazuki talking to Kaori, and Grega and Terka walking away from them. He got up and went over to the two ninja. "Giving those two some time alone huh?" he said.

Grega nodded vigorously to Yerth.
Terka looked back to Yerth's ship. "Would you by any chance have supplies that you want from your ship before we leave it?"
"Tophiopolis... I heard of that before." Kaori said, trying to turn around to Kazuki while still holding her chest. "Isn't it somewhere around here...?"

"It should be," Kazuki said. "I'm not sure exactly where we are, but those are the same kind of trees that grew in Tophiopolis, so yeah we're probably not too far away."
"Yeah," Yerth said. "I also need to check how bad the damage is. Who knows, maybe she just needs some patch work and someone with a ship to help haul her back in the water? We've been through a lot together, I'd hate to just leave her here. Might as well start now." Yerth walked over to the ship and climbed on board to check things out.
"You're not at all what I was expecting from a princess," Kani commented. "Though I guess hiding out from the Nocturnians for a few years would do it."

"Oh, so we can visit your home and your family then...?" Kaori said.
Tari stopped, trying to use the little amount of restraint she has to keep from exploding.

"That wouldn't work," Kazuki said. "My father was killed when the Nocturnians captured Tophiopolis, and my mother moved back to Yamakota, where they were originally from.
Yerth checked the side of the ship wedged up against the rock. "Looks like it hit pretty hard," he said to himself. "Guess I'll need to check in the hold." He walked over to a hatch in the middle of the deck and opened it. The smell of fish filled the air. "Haha, I never did have time to unload my catch. Guess we've got plenty of food."
"Guess it must be tough being among commoners like me," Kani said. "Plus we're supposed to be heading back to your city after it's been in Nocturnian hands for years."

Kaori turned away from Kazuki. "Oh, I... I'm sorry..."
Tari broke, whipping out her gun at Kani. "WHAT PART OF LEAVE ME ALONE DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?!?"

"Don't be," Kazuki replied. "That was a few years ago. I've pretty much accepted his death. He gave his life so Princess Megumi could escape the Nocturnian Army." Kazuki drew his sword. "This sword belonged to my father. When I was given it and told what had happened to him, I made a promise. I swore I'd find Princess Megumi so he could rest in peace."
Yerth went down beneath the deck. There were two large tanks on each side of the boat holding the fish he had caught. He walked down a narrow corridor between the tanks. He got to a small crawl space running underneath the tanks. There was water in the hull here. "That's not a good sign..." Yerth said to himself.
"I-I was just trying to make conversation," Kani said, raising his hands over his head.
"If you're going to point a gun at someone," said a woman's voice from the side, "you'd better be prepared to pull the trigger."

"And you haven't found her yet...?" Kaori wondered.
Grega layed down, looking through the two tanks at Yerth, watching curiously. "Whatcha dooooing?"
Tari swung her gun at the voice, scowling, then turned around, running off.

"Nope, not yet," Kazuki said. "I've been looking for 3 years too."
"Oh, I'm just checking how bad the damage to the ship is," Yerth replied. "I'm hoping she's still salvageable."
"Thanks, I think," Kani said to the woman who had just shown up. "I never thought she'd react like that..."
"Were the two of you traveling together?" the woman asked.

"You'll find her soon." Kaori responded. "I have a feeling you will."
"This place smells weeeeird..." Grega said, poking through the caged part of one of the tanks to the fish inside.
Terka walked over, bending down behind a thick patch of grass, watching Kani and the woman talking.
