"Well, I reckon this is as good a time as any for me to be on my way," DeRoy said. "Travelin with you folks sure beats travelin alone, I gotta say."
"Are you sure you won't stay with us a bit longer?" Megumi asked.
"No can do, I've got some things to take care of, just gettin back to town and all," DeRoy replied. "Though I reckon I could meet you after that."
"Great, we could all eat something together when we'll all finished," Megumi said.
"That's might kind of you," DeRoy replied. "I'll gladly take you up on your offer. I reckon I've got a few more stories I can tell you folks as well."

"Oh I see the marketplace!" Grega exclaimed, pointing down the road.
"It must be near the gate to get more business from travelers." Terka commented.
"Where do we go first?" Kaori said, looking down the road.

"I'll meet back up with you folks as soon as I can," DeRoy said. "I know a might fine place to grab a bite to eat around here."
"That sounds lovely," Megumi said. "We'll be looking forward to it."
"It looks a lot smaller than I remember it," Kazuki said looking at the marketplace. "There aren't nearly as many people either. The last time I was here before the invasion the place was filled with shops from one end to the other. Now half the stands are empty and a lot of shops are boarded up..."
"The place still looks pretty busy to me," yerth commented. Reminds me of the docks back in Oroeth when a big catch comes in."
"We should hurry and buy the supplies we came for," Vira said. "And remember to keep a low profile."

"There isn't any Nocturnians here..." Tari noticed, looking around.
"The guard was definitely Nocturnian." Terka noted while the group was walking toward the marketplace. "They must be a ruling minority here."

"The Nocturnians have a separate marketplace," Vira said. "They don't allow humans there at all. Though it isn't that uncommon to find Nocturnians come to this one, especially on the other side closer to the Nocturnian market."
"I see..." Kazuki said sadly.
"Don't worry," Megumi said. "I'll make sure that this city once again becomes a place where everyone is treated equally and fairly."
"Where are we going first?" Kani asked.
"We should buy some healing potions," Vira said. "They're a top priority."

"Where are they usually sold at?" Kaori asked.
"Magic shops and dealers, mostly." Terka answered.
"This place is too crowded..." Tari complained, ducking her head down. She then noticed a familiar building around the corner of her eye. She looked around at the marketplace. "Hey, I remember this place."
With her arms behind her back, Grega walked up to a man by a cart and stared. Whatcha selling?" she asked curiously.

"There's a magic shop not far from here," Vira said. "Their prices are reasonable too."
"I'm surprised there's a shop from before the invasion still open," Megumi said. "What do they sell there?"
"I've got pocket watches for sale, little lady," the merchant replied. "The highest quality craftsmanship." He held one up by the chain, which immediately broke. "Uhh... That one was just a sample... The others are all in perfect shape. I don't suppose you'd be interested in buying one?"

"...watches?" Grega wondered, confused.
"You tell the time of day with them." Kaori said. "My father had one."
"Why would you need something like that?" Grega giggled, then walked away.
"That one, I'm not sure." Tari answered. "But I always ran by it every day on the way to my parent's house. The sign is the same shape, but it's been painted over..."

"Why don't we stop there first and see what they have?" Megumi suggested. "We can get the potions right after that."
"We should take care of the important business first," Vira said. "We don't have time to play around."
"It won't take long," Megumi replied. "We'll just stop in for a quick look around."

Grega walked around to the front of the store, then waved back to the others. "It's an ice cream shop!" she exclaimed happily.
"Oh ice cream!" Kaori said.
