Yukari's Story: Chapter 1
Yukari, wearing a frilly burgundy dress, walked through the front door of Salori's mansion as Harena, one of Salori's maids, held it open for her. Furimi, another maid, came in behind her, carrying a large, pine green satchel.
"Welcome back home, Master Yukari. How did the auction go?" Harena asked.
Yukari looked up at her, then forward again. "If you're asking if I won... of course I did." she responded, then started back toward the left staircase with Furimi following closely behind.
"Of course, Master Yukari... I apologize." She said as Yukari got halfway up the stairs, before interrupting again, "Lord Salori is still napping, Master Yukari."
"I know." Yukari responded, then headed up. She exited the main room and walked down the hall, opening the door to Salori's room before walking in. She walked in the door as Furimi walked up. "Put the bag down by the door." she ordered Furimi.
"Yes, Master Yukari." Furimi said, setting the bag down. "Will that be all?"
"Is my 3 o'clock still on for tomorrow?" Yukari asked.
"It is." Furimi responded. "If Master Salori is still attending as well, that is."
"He will be." Yukari said. "That is all."
Furimi left, closing the door behind her as Yukari walked over to the bag, kneeling down to it. She unzipped it, pulling the bag down, revealing a large, complicated, round metallic device. "So this is it... the essence of Qoren's power..." she said, then stood up. She looked over toward the bed that Salori lay. "Soon, I will find the secret to our race's existence..."
She turned, walking toward the other door in Salori's room, opening it. His private bathroom was in the other side of the door. She walked in, shutting the door.
A few minutes later, the door to Salori's room opened as he peeked out. "Furimi honey! I'm gonna be another couple hours!" he said, then yawned, shutting the door again.
Then, Yukari came out of the bathroom, straightening her black miniskirt. She also wore a crimson sleeveless top with her hair tied up and long, black stockings with matching crimson boots. She took a deep breath, walking over to the device. She knelt down to it again, picking it up She then took it over to the middle of the room, setting it down. She then backed up, extending her arms toward the device as a black foggy spell beamed out of her hands to the device, engulfing it. The device started to glow, sending a pulse through her body as the room she was in disappeared.
She then put her arms down, looking around. She was on the summit of a large, wide hill overlooking a valley. "Of course... Lanoia wasn't built in this time period..." she thought, realizing her clumsy miscalculations.
She turned around, but was startled by another on the mountain. The figure was a tall, youthful looking boy with short, red hair. He wore a yellow tee shirt with brown pants and black shoes. She gasped in surprise, backing up a little.
"Oh, sorry! I didn't mean to startle you..." the boy said.
"And what are you doing in the middle of nowhere, boy?" she snapped.
"Oh, w-well... I was expecting you to show up here, actually..." he stuttered, then noticed Yukari's fangs.
Yukari's eyes narrowed. "Are you..."
"A prophet?" he interrupted. "Yeah... I knew you would be popping out of nowhere like this."
"I see..." she answered.
"Let's head toward shelter, it's not that safe here at night..." the boy said. "Oh, what was your name again?"
Yukari paused before answering. "...Yukari Agavon." she said.
"That's a really cute name!" he said, smiling. "My name is Essin Perrefi."
As the two walked down the hill into the field below, Essin kept his eyes on Yukari. She looked over at him, then looked away upon making eye contact, blushing. "S-so you're a prophet... do you know where I'm from?" she asked him.
"I have no idea." Essin replied. "I'm actually pretty curious."
Yukari sighed. "Well... I'm not sure I can tell you that."
"Oh... I understand." he replied, smiling at her. "Mysterious girls have to keep their secrets, after all."
The two walked to the edge of another large hill, overlooking a small village at the foot.
After they made it to town, Essin took Yukari to his house. He turned to Yukari. "You're welcome to come in. I'm sure Mother won't mind."
"I can't stay for long." Yukari responded. "I'm looking for something."
Essin opened the back door to his house before they walked in.
"I think Mom's asleep." Essin whispered as they walked through the kitchen.
Yukari stopped. "Essin... do you mind if I stay here for the night?"
"Oh uh... I'm not sure." he answered quietly. "Since Mom's asleep, I can't ask her, and she don't like strangers staying in the den."
Yukari continued walking with Essin. "I don't mind staying in a boy's room." she said.
Essin glanced at Yukari in surprise, then looked away as they got to his room. "Sorry if it's too messy." he said before opening the door.
They walked in the room, which looked normal. A wooden bed sat in the right corner with the head toward the window, which was shut and blinded. The carpeted floor had clothes scattered about, in a path to the open closet. Yukari walked over to the bed. sitting down as Essin closed the door. "Tomorrow, I must go to Miyanopolis."
Essin stood in front of the bed, fidgeting. "M-Miyanopolis...? That's pretty far away."
Yukari looked up at Essin. "...is something wrong?"
Essin looked away. "Sorry, I'm just not used to girls in my room... uh.... on my bed..."
Yukari smiled, then layed down on Essin's bed, stretching out. "Well you'll need to get used to it eventually."
Essin blushed, walking over and sitting at the foot of the bed. "Okay..." he said, then glanced over at Yukari's body. The eye candy of her wide hips and the view of up her miniskirt made the innocent boy blush. He then looked up at Yukari's face, noticing her smiling and looking at him, then looked away. "So uh... no offense or anything, but uh... those are some pretty sharp teeth you have..."
"It runs in the family." Yukari said. "Anyway, I'll need to get up early to go. I'm sorry I can't stay longer."
"Oh, okay then." Essin said, standing up, walking toward the closet. "I'll get you some covers."
Yukari then rolled to her side, scooting up against Essin's pillow as he brought a big, fluffy comforter from the closet. "This is extra warm!" he said, dragging it over to Yukari. "Here ya go."
Yukari reached up to it, pulling it on the bed. "Thanks."
He then grabbed a smaller cover and an extra pillow off the foot of the bed, then sat down on the floor. He turned toard Yukari, who was already covered up. "Sooo... I still don't know much about you... are you in school?"
She opened her eyes, looking at him. "Go to bed." she ordered him, then closed her eyes again.
He paused for a moment, then laid down, covering up, sighing.
When morning came, Yukari awoke, raising up from the bed as she opened her eyes. She looked around, not seeing Essin. She then sat up and climbed out of bed, walking over and opening the bedroom door. She stepped carefully out, looking around. She peeked around the corner to the den, spotting Essin sitting on the couch. "Oh, there you are." she said.
"It's okay, I told Mom about you. She's outside tending to her garden." he said, then stood up.
"I gotta go." Yukari said to Essin.
"It's fine." he said as they walked to the front door. "I was getting ready for school anyway."
Without saying another word, Yukari walked to the door. Essin then approached her. "We will meet again."
"Some way." Yukari answered. "Thanks, by the way."
Yukari then turned and pushed Essin against the wall as she reached up and kissed him on the lips, holding his arms against the wall. She gently pressed herself against him with the kiss. After about a minute, she let up, letting go of Essin.
"W-wow... I-I mean I just met you y-yesterday and uh..." he stuttered.
"Don't be shy, Essin. Don't be afraid." she said softly to him, then reached up, kissing him again. "...do you understand?"
"...y-yeah. Yes I do." he answered.
She then opened the front door, walking out. "Take care of yourself."
"You too, Yukari." he said, smiling.
Yukari then closed the door behind herself, walking down the walkway to the road. She looked back, seeing him out the window, watching her go.
