"It's not a weird book,' Kaili insisted. It's the latest Magical Girl Lyra novel."
Melimei's ears perked up upon hearing the title. "Wait, that's not going to be out for a few months," She said. "A-At least that's what I hear. I-It's not like I like those children's books or anything."
"I got an early copy," Kaili stated with a grin.
"I do not know, as I have not eaten here previously," Sekra replied. "Shall I investigate the matter for you, mistress?"

"How would you get a copy early like that?" Fedira asked. "Do you know the author or something?"
"Unnecessary, Sekra." Yukari said. "We shall simply query an employee."
"Oh, you can go ahead and do that now." Trinta said.
"You sure?" Miranda asked, handing Trinta the frozen chicken.
"Yeah I'm good, thanks for the help." he said, cradling the chicken in his right arm as Miranda turned right and started walking away.
"No prob, I'll be over tomorrow to visit." Miranda said.

"It's a secret," Kaiki stated with a smug smile on her face. "I have my sources."
"Well it's not like I want to know anyway," Melimei added.
"Yes, mistress," Sekra replied.

Yukari sighed, then looked back over at the girls.

"I don't remember seeing you read anything at the dorm room," Drandi commented.
"Of course not," Kaili explained. "Why would I do that? I read it in class."
"You shouldn't be reading in class," Melimei scolded. "You're there to learn. Things like that are why your grades are so bad."
"It's fine, MeiMei," Kaili replied. "It's not like I pay attention anyway."
"Then pay attention," Melimei stated.
Sekra looked over at the girls and then at Yukari. "Are those girls classmates of yours, mistress?" she asked.

"Yeah." Yukari answered.

"Aye aye, teacher," Kaili said, saluting.
Melimei rolled her eyes at Kaili's response.
The couple sitting at the table across from the girls got up and left. Almost immediately a busboy came, cleared off the dishes and wiped the table.
"I see," Sekra replied. She took a piece of paper with a list of names out of her pocket, some of which had been crossed off and examined it.

"That isn't a list of people you plan to kill, is it?" Yukari asked Sekra, half joking. "Please tell me it is."

"I uh... don't think you should um... be reading in class either," Drandi said.
"But it's sooooooooo boring," Kaili protested.
"Very well, mistress, it is a list of people I plan to kill," Sekra replied, obeying Yukari.
The head waitress came up to the two of them. "A table just opened up. Follow me please," she said gesturing for the two of them to follow.

Yukari sighed. "How many times do I have to try teaching you how to identify jokes..." she whispered impatiently, then turned to the waitress, changing her expression to invoke cheerfulness. "Oh hello again!"
