"No, you need to get Patch with your chains," Cork replied. "Leave the rest to me." He positioned himself between Tala and the wooden bulkhead, waited till the last second, then dodged Tala's lance strike, which promptly wedged itself in the wall.
"Oh well," Tala replied. Serlis sounds like he'd rather continue this anyway.
"The captain and Cork are almost here! Let's get the ship moving!" Sandy said.

Rusty lifted himself up, but still hung over the edge. The grappling hook was sticking out of his shoulder. "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MINDS?!?" he yelled, then pointed to the hook. "You didn't even give me a chance to grab on!"
"I can throw you back if you want..." Ton said, shrugging.
"Alright." Yuuji said as he walked toward the group of Nocturnian soldiers, who were in the process of charging him. He swiftly jumped over them, propelling himself with the chains, over to Patch, grabbing him up. He then looked up at Nalery. "You're in my way."
Nalery drew her pole axe, aiming for a perfect strike at Yuuji. Before she knew it, the chains were wrapped around her neck, tossing her violently into the cabin, busting a Nalery-sized hole through it. Then, before the other soldiers could reach him with their weapons, he leaped off, his chains catching on both ships, swinging him over to his own.
"Noran, what's the deal? Where's the cap'n?" Serlis asked.

Seeing everyone escape, Cork ran towards the Cobalt Storm, which started pulling away. He prepared to leap across, when he felt a sharp pain in his left leg, and collapsed. He looked at his leg to see a spike lodged in it.
"CORK!" Sandy called out, seeing him go down.
"You should thank your crew mate," Noran said, limping over, several spikes in his hand. "These little presents he left works wonders, don't you agree?"

"We gotta hurry, those ships are almost within firing range!" Ton said.
Rusty rushed up to the helm, still with the hook lodged in his shoulder.
Yuuji climbed up, then leaped onto the deck. "Status report." he ordered as he laid Patch onto the deck.
"Looks like they left this one!" Serlis said. "Guess our fleet scared them off! ...what'll we do with 'im?"

"You don't have me yet," Cork replied. He sprung to his feet and rammed one of the nocturnians, and tried to run. The spike in his leg made that nearly impossible. He looked out at the widening gap between the two ships and contemplated whether he could swim it with his leg. He decided against it. He then turned and looked at the Nocturnians. He sighed. "Looks like I'm not getting out of here until i kick all your asses. Now who's first? Or do you want me to take you all on at once?"

"Either is fine by me, I don't mind that..." Serlis said, smirking. He pulled out a short, straight sword from his hip.

Cork drew his cutlass and rested the blunt edge on his left shoulder. He leaned up against the rail of the ship. He glared at the Nocturnians with determination. "I am Cork, first officer of the pirate ship Cobalt Storm! If any of you think you're enough of a hero to take me down, try it. I'm sure there's a nice bounty on me, so who wants to collect?" He pointed his sword at them. "Come at me."
Three Nocturnian sailors obliged, charging the injured pirate, swords in hand, attacking attacking at once. Cork parried the blow from the first with his cutlass, knocking the sword from the Nocturnian's hand. He surged forward and bashed the Nocturnian in the head with the pummel of his sword, knocking him to the ground.
The second and third Nocturnians used this as an opportunity to stike ar Cork with overhand swings. Cork spun the the left and grabbed the arm of the Nocturnian on that side with his free hand stopping his swing. At the same time though, the other Nocturnian struck with her swing, slashing Cork's back. He twisted, and managed to pull the Nocturnian he had grasped off his feet, throwing him into the one who had just wounded him.
The first Nocturnian shook off the blow to his head and sprang to his feet tackling Cork. The pain from the injury to his back and leg resulting in Cork falling to his knees. However, he was able to recover and stand up, even with the Nocturnian still holding onto his muscular frame. The other two looked at each other and also sprang to their feet, grabbing onto each of Cork's arms, trying to bring him down. Several other Nocturnians joined in. It took five of them to bring him down. Cork struggled on, but, outnumbered and losing strength from blood loss, it was a hopeless battle. After several minutes, he passed out.
"Toss this pirate scum in the brig," Noran ordered.
"You should probably let someone treat those injuries, so he won't die before we can try him," Tala suggested.
Meanwhile, in the freezer, Rurik struggled to keep warm. "I've decided. No ice cream for the rest of this voyage."
