Andi walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water. She had been staying at Asina's house ever since the caravan had gotten to New Keshmar. Staying while they waited for Kaori, Asina's daughter, as well and Andi's partners Grega and Terka to return. By now word of Oroeth's fall had reached even the isolated village, yet there was still no sign of them. As Andi walked into the kitchen, she saw Asina sitting down at the table. "You're still up?" Andi asked, surprised.
"Oh, Andi," Asina replied. "Yes, I couldn't sleep again. I just can't help but think... I never should have let her go... What if Kaori's been captured, or worse..."
"Grega and Terka are with her, so I'm sure they're fine," Andi said, trying to reassure Asina. "Though things obviously didn't go very well, so they're probably keeping out of sight, waiting for a chance to sneak away or contact us somehow. Grega and Terka both know they can't lead the Nocturnians back here, so they're probably playing it safe. Though I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried at all. Those two can handle themselves though."
Kiros heard a noise and jumped out of bed. "What was that?" She asked herself out loud, startled. She checked around the house quickly and saw nothing out of the ordinary. "Must of come from outside," she thought. Kiros when to her brother's room and knocked on the door. "You in there? I heard a noise outside. Go check it out." she said bossily.

Suserak cracked open the door. "...Kiros?" he mumbled, then pulled the door open, walking out into the hallway.

"I heard a strange noise outside," Kiros repeated. "You need to go check it out. I'd look myself, but I'm still hurt from that cave flyer."
"Yes, I know they're skilled," Asina said. "And they'd do everything they could to protect Kaori. Still... It was just the three of them against an army..."
"True," Andi agreed. "However, we ninja are trained for those kinds of situations. If they don't return soon though, I'll go look for them. I can't return to Telgen without my teammates."
"Thanks, that makes me feel a bit better," Asina said. "Though I think I still need somehting to help me sleep."
How about we go for a walk and get some air?" Andi replied. "That might help you relax and get some sleep."
"That's a good idea," Asina replied. The two of them walked out of the house into the town.

Suserak walked over and opened the front door, peering out. He spotted a dark figure wearing jet black knight armor. "Stay in here." he said, stepping outside of the house.

"No way, I'm coming too," Kiros insisted. "I might not be at 100% yet, but I can still back you up."
Noel moved through the streets of New Keshmar without stopping. The town did not concern him. He was only there for the hidden gateway that lay further inside.
Andi looked around atthe town and at the ceiling of the cave as she walked along with Asina. "I'm still amazed you were able to build a town like this inside a cave," Andi commented. "It's really incredible. To think all these people can live here totally hidden. As a ninja, I can't help but be impressed."
"Thank you," Asina replied. "We were lucky we found a cave with such an ample water supply. That's what really makes this possible. Though I wish we didn't have to stay hidden like this. The only thing we can grow down here without the sun is mushrooms. We can trade them for grain so we can get plenty of food, but... It's just not the same without the sun."
"Yeah, I can see how that would be a problem," Andi said. "No trees, no grass, no sunlight... Though at least you don't have to worry about it being too hot in the summer or cold in the winter."
"Yeah, there is that," Asina acknowledged. "Though I do miss the summers and winters."

"Whoever it is... he's wearing dark clothing." Suserak commented , watching Noel. "I could barely spot him."

"You there, stop where you are!" Kiros shouted at the intruder.
Noel continued on his way without stopping.
"I see..." Andi said. "I never really considered that. I'd think having a constant temperature wold be a good thing. I can see how someone would miss having seasons though."
"Yes," Asina replied. "It does make it convineient not having to worry about what the weather's like. Still, this is no place to raise children. We're surviving fine thanks to trading the mushrooms we can grow here for other food, but it's not the same. I just hope we'll be able to come out soon."
"Yeah, I can imagine wha..." Andi started to say when she heard Kiros' shout. "Did you just hear someone shouting?"
"Yes, it sounded like Kiros," Asina replied. "Something must be wrong." Asina hurried towards Kiros' house with Andi following.

Suserak spotted Asina and Andi, then looked over to Noel. "I'm just taking the direct approach." he said to Kiros, then starting to walk carefully over to Noel.

Andi and Asina spotted Kiros, Suserak, and the mysterious figure and headed towards them.
"Any idea who that guy in black is?" Andi asked Asina.
"None at all." Asina replied.
"The direct approach is fine by me," Kiros said. She tossed her book at the intruder.
Noel ignored the attack and continued on his way.

"I kinda meant just asking him why he's here..." Suserak said.
